How To Order

Here's some Frequently Asked Questions on ordering and payment

!

How do I order?

!

Click the shopping cart  icon in the box of  the toy you want.

Click the heart icon to add it to your favourites, and  compile a list of items to look at before you decide which ones to buy. You can also email your selections from here to  a friend who you think will like them.

If you want to buy something else as well, click the "Continue Shopping" button. If you change your mind about something, click the "delete" message next to the item name.

To add your postage & packing charge, choose your shipping region. When you are ready to complete your order, click the "Go to checkout" button to enter your contact and delivery information and card details.

After you have ordered and paid you will receive confirmation e-mails from Paypal and HappyhappyToytoy. Please look at this e-mail carefully - if there are any problems (for example, you have entered your address incorrectly), now is the time to e-mail us and correct it. If you can't see these e-mails - check your spam filters, please

What payment methods do you accept?

!

We accept all the major credit and debit cards that Paypal recognise. You do not need to have a Paypal account to use them for a one-off payment.

The only currency we can accept is GBP, also known as pounds sterling, but your credit card company will automatically make the conversion for you, so you do not have to worry about what currency you are using - consult xe.com to check the exchange rate.
If you are in the U.K. and wish to pay by cheque or postal order please contact us for details.

We can accept payment by Google Checkout, but unfortunately the website is not currently configured to do so automatically. If you wish to pay through your Google Checkout account please email us for an invoice.

We cannot accept payment over the phone - for your security we only take payment through a secure server.

Will my toy be the same as the one in the photo?

!

Yes. The photos on happyhappytoytoy are of the actual toy, not promotional pictures. (Photographs from this site may not be used without permission)

Also, we do not sell toys as 'blind items' or 'random picks' - you will get the part of a series that you choose.

Can I cancel my order?

!

If you feel the need to cancel an order, please e-mail us after you have received your confirmation e-mail, and we will arrange a refund. Please, please do not do this for frivolous reasons, we incur banking fees, and may levy a charge for admin if we feel you have caused us unnecessary expense. If you need to return an item, email for instructions. We will refund all costs if the item is faulty or mis-described, but may charge an admin fee if you have simply changed your mind.

Can I copy and use the photos on this site?

!

No. All photographs are exclusive to happyhappytoytoy.com, and the rights to all photos and text belong to happyhappytoytoy.com.

Do you have a wholesale catalogue you can send me?

!

No, all products that are available are listed on the website, and the terms and conditions are as stated here in the Frequently Asked Questions. If you wish to buy a large quantity of a particular item, please email your query to us. If you have a website, blog or forum on a related subject, such as anime or collecting, please contact us to discuss placing a link on your site and promoting deals and offers for your members.

What are capsule, candy and trading toys?

!

Capsule toys are plastic or vinyl toys, typically packed in a plastic capsule and sold in Japan in vending machines. They generally come in a series, and the fun is to try and collect the whole set, by swapping with friends, or just by buying lots of them! Candy toys are similar, but are packaged in boxes as 'blind items', with a piece of candy, or some sweeties. Without the sweets, they are often referred to as series or trading toys, these generally are of a higher quality and the boxes themselves are well-designed, making them great to give as little gifts

What is a blind, or blind box item?

!

When you buy a capsule or candy toy in Japan, you generally don't know which one of the series you've got until you take it home and open the pack. Many other sites and shops sell this way as a 'random pick'. At Happyhappytoytoy we take the guess-work out by carefully opening the package, identifying the contents, and resealing it, so you can buy exactly the toy you want.

What does gashapon mean?

!

It's an onomatopoeic word, it refers to the sound a capsule makes when it falls from a vending machine.
